Dear colleagues, dear friends,
greetings on behalf of the Praesidium of the Conference of European Clergy. Attached to this letter you will not only find the proposed new constitution in German and English, but an introduction of the Bond van Nederlandse Predikanten (BNP), the Dutch pastors union as well. This year, it celebrates ist 100th anniversary. We thank the union for its contribution and congratulate it on this occasion..
As you will see, the attachment contains not only a version oft he proposed new constitution in German, that you received earlier, but also a new translation in English. We hope that by providing the constitution in both German and English all member unions will be able to read it and comment on it. We do thank you for the comments we already received and hope for many more, if possible, before April1st! It is our intention to present the new constitution on our next congress in 2019 as a proposal to be adopted.
Speaking of our next congress: it will be held in Admont, Austria, from June 15th -19th 2019. An invitation will follow later this year, but you can already mark this date. As we will discuss the new constitution and decide on it, it is very important to have as many unions represented at this congress.
Finally, like every year, I ask you to send this year’s finacial contribution tot he CEC.
